Frailea - Diese in Brasilien beheimatete Pflanze gehört zur Familie der Cactaceae und ist eine sehr variable, charmante und Miniaturart. Es hat kugelige oder eiförmige Stängel, an denen die Bildung von seitlichen Fortsätzen äußerst selten ist. An ihren Spitzen ist oft eine Verdickung. Wenn sie älter werden, nehmen sie eine Form an, die einem Zylinder ähnelt, aber dies geschieht nicht immer. Ihre Farbe kann unterschiedlich sein, zum Beispiel grün, bläulich, braun oder weinrot. Die Anordnung der Kanten ist vertikal oder spiralförmig. Frailea-Kaktus ist mit flachen oder spitzen, deutlich sichtbaren Höckern bedeckt, deren Form von der Art abhängt, die gezüchtet wird. Beleuchtungsstärke:
